Death toll rises to 31 in Pakistan train hijack

The death toll in the train hijack by Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) in Pakistan rose to 31, a military spokesperson confirmed, adding that the number could increase. Pakistan had stated that its soldiers killed 33 militants, rescued 354 hostages and ended the standoff. The BLA militants hijacked the Jaffar Express, carrying around 400 passengers, in Balochistan province on March 11.
