Debates held in Kerala Assembly over Lok Ayukta (Amendment) Bill

Arguments were seen in the Kerala Assembly on Tuesday over the introduction of the Kerala Lok Ayukta (Amendment) Bill, which proposes the executive be made the appellate authority over reports of the Lok Ayukta. The Congress-led UDF claimed the proposal violated the Constitutional doctrine of separation of powers. Despite the protestations, the bill was sent to the subject committee.
