Decathlon champion LePage out of Paris 2024 due to herniated disc

Canada's reigning world decathlon champion Pierce LePage has withdrawn from Paris Olympics 2024 due to a herniated disc in his back which requires surgery. "This is just the most cursed season I've had...The hardest part about not going to Olympics is I feel like I let a lot of people...who supported me [down]," he stated in a video on Instagram.
