'Deeply concerned,' says India as Ukraine war escalates; issues statement

The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) on Monday said, "India is deeply concerned at the escalation of conflict in Ukraine...targeting of infrastructure and deaths of civilians." It urged "immediate cessation of hostilities and...return to the path of diplomacy and dialogue". "India stands ready to support all...(de-escalation) efforts," said MEA, as Russia struck Ukrainian cities with missiles.
