An AI model that appeared anonymously on a developer platform last week has sparked speculation that DeepSeek may be quietly testing its next-generation V4 model, Reuters reported. The ‌Hunter Alpha chatbot that surfaced without any developer attribution on OpenRouter described itself as "a Chinese AI model" with data extending to May 2025, similar to DeepSeek’s reported knowledge cutoff.
