Defending champion Carlos Alcaraz pulls out of French Open due to injury

World number two tennis player Carlos Alcaraz has pulled out of French Open 2026 scheduled in May after failing to recover from a wrist injury. "This is a difficult time for me, but I am sure we will come out of this stronger," the defending champion said. The 22-year-old has also withdrawn from Italian Open 2026.
