Defending champions India began their Asian Games 2026 men’s hockey campaign with 13-1 victory over Indonesia in their opening Pool A match. Dilpreet Singh scored four goals for India. India will next face Sri Lanka on September 22 before matches against South Korea, Japan and Bangladesh. Earlier today, Indian women's hockey team defeated Uzbekistan 19-0 in their Asian Games opener.
