Delay by Congress escalated expressway cost by 3 times: PM

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday said the original cost of Western Peripheral Expressway project escalated from ₹1,200 crores by over three times due to delay in the project by Congress. "This...expressway had to be completed during Commonwealth Games, but we all know what was done back then," he added. People should've got the expressway 8-9 years ago, he said.
