Delhi CM Rekha Gupta announced that Cabinet has approved new EV Policy, which will take effect from July 1, 2026, to March 31, 2030. Under it, only new electric two-wheelers will be registered in the capital from April 1, 2028, effectively ending registration of new petrol two-wheelers. Electric cars under ₹30 lakh would be exempted from road tax in Delhi.
