Delhi Cabinet clears draft Bill to establish pvt universities, proposes 25% local quota

Delhi Cabinet approved a draft legislation to allow the establishment and regulation of private universities in the national capital. Under the Delhi Private Universities Bill, 2026, 25% of seats in every course will be reserved for students from Delhi. Of these reserved seats, 5% will receive full fee waivers, while 10% will receive 50% fee concessions.
