Delhi civic body looks to Tokyo, New York models to tackle waste

The Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) met with World Bank experts to study global waste management models. They looked at Tokyo's waste-to-energy plants, New York's use of private firms in collecting and processing wastes and Barcelona's focus on decentralised facilities and changing citizen habits. Officials seek to build a sustainable, efficient system to tackle Delhi's garbage problem.
