Delhi CM announces free cycles to Class 9 girls in Budget 2026

Delhi CM Rekha Gupta, while presenting the 2026-27 Budget on Tuesday, announced that around 1.3 lakh Class 9 girl students in government schools will be provided free bicycles, with ₹90 crore allocated for the scheme. She also said that laptops will be given to meritorious Class 10 students, both boys and girls. She allocated ₹19,148 crore for the education sector.
