Delhi crime drops 15%, but violent cases still alarm

NCRB data for 2024 showed Delhi recorded a 15.1% drop in overall crimes, but violent offences, rape cases and crimes against children remained deeply concerning. The capital topped metropolitan cities in rape, child abduction and POCSO cases. Vehicle thefts, burglaries and juvenile crimes also continued to plague Delhi, also exposing serious concerns over women's safety.
