Delhi govt announces public holiday on Chhath Puja

The Delhi government has announced October 26 as a public holiday on the occasion of Chhath Puja festival. The government officials said that 565 ghats had been developed along the banks of Yamuna river for festival celebrations. Chhath Puja, which is a four-day festival, is celebrated six days after Diwali and is dedicated to the Sun God.
