Delhi govt takes action after report says 44% water samples failed safety test

Delhi government has launched a water quality sampling exercise after HT reported that nearly 44% of water samples failed safety standards. "Eight of 18 samples were found to contain either total coliform bacteria or E. coli, indicating possible contamination," report said. Delhi Jal Board has been directed to ramp up testing and take corrective measures in areas flagged in report.
