Delhi govt to replace Ladli Yojana with Lakhpati Bitiya Yojana, to give ₹1-lakh aid

The Delhi government will replace the 2008 Ladli Yojana with the Lakhpati Bitiya Yojana from April 1. Under this, phased deposits totalling up to ₹56,000 will be made from a girl's birth to her graduation, which are expected to mature to over ₹1 lakh. The final amount will be given to up to two girls per eligible family upon graduation.
