The Delhi government on Monday announced a policy to make Delhi a "Solar City" through the generation of 1,000 MW of solar power by 2020 and taking it further to 2,000 MW by 2025. The policy provides tax breaks and incentives to promote solar power while making it mandatory to install solar panels on all government buildings within five years.
