According to Zomato's year-end consumer trends report, Delhi has the highest number of restaurants among major cities, with nearly 16,000 eateries. The Zomato 'How India ate in 2016' report also said that North Indian and Chinese were the most popular cuisines among Indians. Meanwhile, Biryani was popular in Hyderabad, South Indian cuisine in Bengaluru and Italian in Mumbai.
