Delhi HC gives police 2 weeks to reply to Umar Khalid's bail plea, next hearing on Aug 27

The Delhi High Court issued notice to Delhi Police, directing it to file a response to Umar Khalid's fresh bail application within two weeks. Khalid is jailed under UAPA for six years without a trial in the 2020 Delhi riots larger conspiracy case. The court will hear his plea on August 27, along with that of co-accused Sharjeel Imam.
