Delhi HC rules in favour of OpenAI, says 'Using ANI's content to train AI not copyright violation'

In a relief for OpenAI, the Delhi HC dismissed news agency ANI's interim injunction plea in its copyright infringement suit against the ChatGPT parent. It found no copyright infringement in OpenAI's use of copyrighted material to train AI models. In the first-ever copyright suit against OpenAI in India, the court said ChatGPT's outputs weren't substantially similar to ANI's copyrighted works.
