Delhi HC warns lawyers against humiliating sexual assault victims

Delhi High Court has warned lawyers against using cross-examination to humiliate, shame or morally judge sexual offence victims. Justice Chandrasekharan Sudha criticised questions about a 17-year-old girl's clothing, religion and character, stressing that courts must protect vulnerable witnesses. HC said cross-examination must remain relevant and cannot become another source of trauma for victims.
