Delhi liquor policy lapses led to ₹890 cr in losses: PAC
A report by Delhi Assembly's Public Accounts Committee (PAC), tabled on Monday, flagged ₹890 crore in losses due to lapses in Delhi's Excise Policy 2021-22. The loss of ₹890.15 crore resulted from the failure to re-tender 19 surrendered liquor shops, and an additional loss of ₹144 crore arose from a licence fee waiver, the report based on CAG's audit said.
