Delhi metro station to get India's tallest escalator

Delhi Metro's soon-to-opened section of Janakpuri West station will get the tallest escalators in India at a 15.6-metre elevation. The escalators will break the record currently held by Mumbai airport’s Terminal 2, which has escalators with a height of 11.6 metres. The height of these escalators is equal to the height of a five-storey building, a metro spokesperson said.
