Delhi Police issues clarification on 'detention power under NSA' claims amid CJP protests

The Delhi Police called the claims that the Commissioner was granted detention powers under the NSA to suppress the CJP protests misleading. "It is officially clarified that the order in question is a routine, quarterly extension of powers under the NSA, which is conventionally renewed every three months," it said, adding that the current renewal was issued on July 7.
