Delhi records 'poor' AQI of 261, 5 days after hitting its lowest AQI of 2026
Delhi on Sunday recorded 'poor' AQI of 261, its highest since April 17, just five days after it hit its lowest AQI of 2026. The Commission for Air Quality Management said the deterioration was caused by transnational winds moving towards northwestern India, carrying dust from storms in Afghanistan, Iran and Pakistan. Delhi had recorded an AQI of 59 on Wednesday.
