Delhi records highest ever peak power demand at 8,302 MW

Delhi recorded a peak electricity demand of 8,302 megawatt (MW) on Wednesday, the highest ever in the history of the national capital. With this, Delhi broke the record of 8,000 megawatt (MW) peak power demand recorded on May 22. The peak power demand in Delhi crossed 7000 MW for 12 days in a row amid heatwave, DISCOM officials said.
