Delhi records highest power demand of season, crosses 8,000 MW

Delhi on Wednesday recorded the highest power demand of this season amid heatwave as it crossed the 8,000 MW mark. The power demand reached its highest at 8,039 MW on Wednesday as temperature climbed to 45.1°C at Safdarjung. Delhi's power demand from May 1 to 20 peaked from previous years as it recorded demand higher than 7,533 MW in 2025.
