Delhi on Monday recorded a maximum temperature of 44 degree celsius, making it the "hottest day of the season so far", a MeT department official said. The minimum temperature was recorded at 23.8 degree celsius, a notch below the season average. Meanwhile, heat wave conditions prevailed across most of North India, with Punjab, Haryana and Rajasthan recording high temperatures.
