Delhi's air quality plunges into very poor quality with AQI of 307

Delhi's air quality plunged into very poor category as the national capital woke up to thick layer of fog on Monday. The city recorded Air Quality Index (AQI) reading of 307 in the morning, according to SAFAR-India. According to CPCB, a 'very poor' AQI increases risk of respiratory illnesses. Meanwhile, Delhi has banned firecrackers till January 1 to control pollution.
