Delhi's Southern Ridge to get 1,000 acres as reserved forest

The Delhi government on Saturday approved the notification of around 1,000 acres of additional land in the Southern Ridge under the status of 'reserved forest'. This would increase the total notified ridge area in the Capital to around 13,000 acres. The Southern Ridge forms an ecological link at the northern end of the Aravallis and has several ecologically significant areas.
