Delhi Speaker urges use of audio at traffic signals for visually impaired people

Delhi Legislative Assembly Speaker Vijender Gupta wrote to Lieutenant Governor Taranjit Singh Sandhu suggesting the use of audio signals at traffic lights to aid visually impaired and elderly citizens. He cited an AIIMS study stating that 60 lakh people in Delhi suffer from some form of vision problem. He further wrote, "Such a measure would help reduce accidents."
