Delhi to get 500 mini e-buses to improve last-mile connectivity, fleet to expand
The Delhi government has ordered 500 seven-metre-long mini electric buses under the Centre's PM E-DRIVE Scheme, with deliveries expected by 2027-28, CM Rekha Gupta said. Smaller than the existing nine-metre DEVi electric buses, they will operate in narrow and congested areas to strengthen last-mile connectivity. The government aims to expand the overall fleet from 5,336 to 13,760 buses by 2028.
