Delhi to provide free solar panels to households using up to 400 units of electricity

Delhi CM Rekha Gupta said that the Cabinet has approved the next version of the Delhi Solar Energy Policy. Under the scheme, households consuming up to 400 units of electricity will get a 3kW rooftop solar system at zero upfront cost. The government aims to install systems for 2.3 lakh households by March 2027, while existing electricity subsidies will continue.
