Delhi vigilance suggests probe into ₹1,300 crore classroom construction scam
The Delhi government's vigilance directorate has recommended a detailed probe by a "specialised agency" into alleged irregularities in the construction of 2,405 classrooms for government schools, claiming it involved a scam of ₹1,300 crore. The report has been sent to Delhi's Chief Secretary. In 2015, CM Arvind Kejriwal directed construction of additional classrooms in 193 schools.
