Delhi's landfill sites went down by 462% in just 4 months: LG office

Disposal of legacy waste from Delhi's landfill sites between June-September 2022 increased by 462% as compared to preceding three years, Delhi Lieutenant Governor's office said. Legacy waste at Ghazipur, Bhalswa and Okhla dropped from 229.1 lakh million tonnes (mt) in May to 203 lakh mt in September. Legacy waste at the three sites was 280 lakh mt in mid-2019.
