Delta COVID-19 variant is faster, fitter, it'll pick off most vulnerable people: WHO

Commenting on Delta variant of COVID-19, Executive Director of WHO's Health Emergencies Programme, Mike Ryan said, "Delta variant is faster, it's fitter, it'll pick off the more vulnerable more efficiently than previous variants." It'll eventually find "those vulnerable individuals who'll become severely ill, have to be hospitalised, and potentially die." Delta variant was first detected in India.
