Democracy in deep peril in West Bengal: Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar
West Bengal Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar on Tuesday remarked that democracy is in “deep peril” in the state and governance is far from constitutional norms. While addressing mediapersons, he said the state government officers have forgotten rules and people aren’t being allowed to exercise their right to vote freely. He also claimed that over 25 vice-chancellors were appointed without his approval.
