Demolition drive carried out near Howrah railway station amid heavy security

An extensive demolition drive to remove illegal encroachments near the Howrah railway station was carried out in West Bengal on Saturday. Illegal shops, stalls, and temporary structures crowding the areas near the Howrah bus stand and the Ganga ghat were cleared as part of the drive. Heavy security forces were deployed to maintain law and order during the operation.
