Denied ticket, SP worker attempts self-immolation outside party office in Lucknow

A Samajwadi Party (SP) worker Aditya Thakur attempted to immolate himself outside the party office in Lucknow after being denied a ticket to contest the upcoming Uttar Pradesh Assembly polls. He claimed that he did not have a criminal record but was still denied a candidacy from Aligarh's Chhara constituency.
