Denmark footballer Eriksen, who collapsed on pitch, to get heart starter implant

Christian Eriksen, who collapsed on pitch due to a cardiac arrest during Denmark’s Euro 2020 opener against Finland, will get a heart starter device implanted. Denmark football team doctor Morten Boesen said the Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillator is necessary after a cardiac attack due to rhythm disturbances. The 29-year-old footballer was resuscitated on the pitch before being hospitalised.
