Denmark to end 400-yr-old national postal service due to digitalisation

Denmark's national postal service, PostNord, will deliver its last letter on December 30. This will mark the end of more than 400 years of traditional delivery as mail volume plunged 90% over the past 25 years due to digitalisation. Approximately 1,500 jobs will be cut, and the iconic red postboxes are being removed as the company focuses on parcel delivery.
