Deoband-Roorkee rail line cleared, to cut Delhi-Dehradun time

Indian Railways has received safety clearance for the Deoband-Roorkee rail line, which will shorten the Delhi-Dehradun rail route by 40 km. This project is expected to reduce travel time by 45 to 50 minutes. Once operational, it will benefit lakhs of passengers, improve connectivity, and boost tourism, employment, and development in Uttarakhand and western Uttar Pradesh.
