Deployment of 500 CAPF companies in Bengal extended till June 20

The deployment of 500 companies of Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) in West Bengal has been extended till June 20 for post-poll law and order management. The extension was done based on a request from West Bengal government, an official said. The 500 CAPF companies include 200 of CRPF, 150 of BSF, and 50 each of CISF, ITBP, and SSB.
