Despite COVID-19 relaxations, most cinema halls in B'luru remain shut

Though Karnataka government allowed theatres to reopen with 50% occupancy till August 2 from Monday amid COVID-19, most halls in Bengaluru remained shut. DR Jairaj, President of Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce, said theatres don't have content. "The theatres will probably only be opened next week to the public," he added. Another KFCC official said theatres weren't prepared for reopening.
