Dettol maker Reckitt Benckiser rebrands itself as Reckitt

Reckitt Benckiser, the maker of Dettol, Durex, Harpic, and Lysol, among other brands, announced that it has rebranded itself as Reckitt. "The name reflects the existing widespread usage of Reckitt and is clearer, simpler and more memorable," the company said. The Reckitt Benckiser name came from the merger of Britain's Reckitt and Colman and Dutch company Benckiser in 1999.
