Devas CEO Ramachandran Vishwanathan declared fugitive economic offender by B'luru court

Ramachandran Vishwanathan, the CEO of Devas Multimedia, has been declared a fugitive economic offender by a special court in Bengaluru in a money laundering case. Vishwanathan and nine others are accused of diverting to US 85% of ₹579 crore, received by Devas as part of a satellite deal with ISRO in 2005. The government had terminated the deal in 2011.
