DFCCIL plans Gati Shakti Multi Modal Cargo Terminal at New Shambhu

DFCCIL has initiated development of a Gati Shakti Multi Modal Cargo Terminal at New Shambhu, Punjab, holding a pre-bid meeting with stakeholders. The proposed GCT will strengthen regional freight infrastructure. Its importance will rise with the approved Rajpura Bypass Line, enabling direct connectivity to Kauli and allowing freight trains to bypass congested Rajpura Yard, improving efficiency.
