DFS to inspect coaching centres for fire safety violations

The Delhi Fire Service (DFS) will next target coaching centres violating fire safety norms, starting with areas like Mukherjee Nagar, Karol Bagh and Laxmi Nagar. This follows inspections of 15 schools over three weeks, during which 15 of 60 establishments were denied fire clearance due to lapses like non-functional alarms and blocked ventilation.
