DGCA audits Indian airlines as it prepares to be reviewed by US aviation regulator
On orders of Civil Aviation Ministry, the DGCA audited major airlines, including IndiGo, Air India, Akasa Air and SpiceJet, according to multiple reports. The audits covered areas including flight safety, engineering and crew rostering. This comes after multiple recent midair incidents and regulatory lapses and just weeks ahead of the US Federal Aviation Administration's assessment of the DGCA.
