Govt disposes objections against Tata-AirAsia deal

Disposing off all the objections, the government Friday gave the final clearance to Tata Sons-AirAsia JV for a low cost airline. Other Indian airlines had objected that FDI by foreign airlines was for investment into existing ones and not for creating JV startups. It was the first case of FDI by foreign airlines being used to form a startup.
